Lorca: Flamenco Poetry

Lorca: Flamenco Poetry celebrates the passionate poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca interpreted through the music and artistry of flamenco. Lorca: Flamenco Poetry was Furia Flamenca's first production and has been one of its most successful productions garnering two Dance Metro DC awards in 2009 and an additional five finalist nominations in 2012.

Soul Encounters: Flamenco Meets Jazz

Soul Encounters: Flamenco Meets Jazz, in combination with jazz trio, Unit Three, combined the soul roots of both jazz and flamenco. With flamenco palos being recomposed into classic jazz melodies, this original production explored the improvisational themes associated with both art forms and united two cultures bred from the hardship endured by the oppressed.

Recordando La Alhambra

Recordando La Alhambra fuses the music and choreography of the Middle Eastern culture, a contributing influence to the flamenco art form. Featuring an invited Belly Dance artist, Middle Eastern-fused flamenco choreographies and recalibrated popular Spanish classics with a Middle Eastern flare provide a side by side illustration of the similarities between these two gypsy art forms.

Flamenco to the MAX!

Flamenco to the Max! is an avante-garde approach to flamenco creating a visually and aurally-appealing spectacle. This envelope-pushing show uses modern-day technology in ways never used before in the art of flamenco, taking flamenco to an entirely different level, literally and figuratively.
